BBC reports on the entire hacking scene behind the PSP. I was personally rather impressed with this article. It took a very unbiased look into the bigger groups behind PSP hacking such as Nooz, Team C+D and Dark Alex and his crew.
You can read about their “behind the scenes” look by clicking here.
There is also an MP3 of an interview BBC World Service ran with Fanjita, one of the PSP hackers. You can download and listen to the stream by clicking here
This video shows some PAL region’ers playing the PS3 before it was even released in stores. However their methods in order to do so were a little unorthodox. They broke in a store with a PS3 and played it right inside the store.
I can’t confirm the validity of this video however it seems pretty real, and interesting.
While the Wii sales are down it is still leading in sales compared to it’s competition. The PS3 and Xbox 360 sales are slightly up. However the DS Lite took the lead selling just less than all of the other consoles combined.
This is a good idea. Sony is planning on some hardware adjustments that will cut the cost of making a PS3 and allowing a cut in the cost of buying a PS3. This should lower the price of a PS3 to a more affordable version.
The European version of the PS3 is coming next month and it is supposed to carry new hardware specifications which could mean lower prices…or not. We don’t really know for a fact about this, truthfully.
Another case of downsizing meaning downpricing. Let’s hope that this can make the PS3 a much more affordable console in this generation of gaming.
A contest was run by MTV and Nintendo many months back. The aim of the game? Play your DS in the weirdest place possible, take a picture of yourself, and submit it to the contest. Why bother? The prize is the chance to play a DS maybe not in the weirdest place possible but definitely the coolest. You play your DS in zero gravity on the Zero-G zero gravity plane.
Unfortunately if you are reading about this contest for the first time you might be a little out of luck. The contest is already over and the winner has already taken his trip of a lifetime. You can see the picture of one of the winners above. It sure looks like he was having fun. Unfortunately playing the DS seemed a little more difficult than he had envisioned,
I’m not going to lie, playing a touch screen based game in zero-gravity is extremely difficult (I had to set Elite Beat Agents down to easy in order to get anywhere) and my friend had an equally hard time with Star Fox Command. If anything, the trip should have been a testimony as to how many beatings the DS lite can take, as it was stepped on and knocked out of my hands countless times and still works perfectly.
It looks like the idea of being in Zero-G was more fun than playing the DS in Zero-G. Congratulations to the winners and better luck next time to anyone that found them self in really weird spot hoping to win this contest.
Whoa, this is practically a chance to be a part of history! Bungie has donated a cameo voice role in Halo 3 to Hollywood Arts, a company that reaches out to homeless people through the arts. Hollywood Arts decided to put this role up as an EBay auction where all of the proceeds will go to homeless children.
Details right? The Ebay auction is accessible by clicking here. The voice over will be recorded at Blindlight Studios in Hollywood, CA before May, 15th. The deadline is not negotiable. Bungie has confirmed that validity of this offer on their site, bungie.net
The bid is currently at 1,000 (3:48PM EST).

See that picture? Don’t stare at it too long or else you’ll get tired of it too quickly. Pretty cool looking huh?
So why must you not get tired of this picture too quickly? Bungie reports that we’ll be seeing it more often. They explain it best,
“Soon you will start to see this popping up all over the place. We’ve seen comps of this plastered on bus stops, billboards, and even the sides of skyscrapers. We hope you like it because you’ll be seeing a fair amount of it in the weeks ahead.
Eventually we’ll graduate to phase two which will feature new imagery that’s in development right now – and it’s shaping up to be really sweet … A lot of it is going to follow this in tone and style, but I can tell you that these images ratchet up the excitement and atmosphere with each successive poster.”
Hmm, I suspect that a couple of these posters will be stolen from bus stops as a collectible. However may I warn you, don’t try to steal these from a moving bus.
Not to mention the other bit of information that you have probably overlooked. Look back at the poster. Down a little…in the center. Yeah, that, Fall 2007. There’s a sight hint at a release date for you, if you didn’t already know.
Unfortunatly a shipment of Cyclowiz chips have a slight defect in them that renders them useless. TeamCyclops confirms that due to a problem at the factory the A, B and C points ended up as one. Not good.
So, if you have a new Cyclowiz chip in your hands or soon to come use the image below to check if yours may be defective or not. The website, http://www.teamcyclops.com/ contains more information. We have quoted the entire post for you however and you can see that by clicking the “more…” button below.

Should you have a defective unit you can apply for a replacement through their retailer network. They’ll also be posting instuctions on how to fix it yourself on their website tomorrow.
Super Paper Mario is the sequel to the hit, Paper Mario. It was originally planned to be released for the Gamecube however Nintendo made the decision to put it out for the Wii instead. Personally, I say good decision. Everything is a lot cooler on the Wii and the Paper Mario series would be much better on the Wii.
However you should no longer expect to actually own a physical copy of Super Paper Mario anymore. It’s rumored that it could be picked up via the Virtual Console and only the Virtual Console. I’m not sure if this is a good decision, or not. I’d personally rather own a physical copy of any game I have.
I’m not sure why Nintendo made the decision to move it onto VC. If this is actually true, could we end up with all of our games on VC? I also have to wonder, how much will the game cost then? Too many questions, too few answers.
DC’s recent announcment of World of Warcraft action figures remotely show that they might also be planning on release of some WoW comics or WoW stories
The announcement included the statment “license and promote the world’s greatest pop culture characters and stories.”
Now, I didn’t put bold on the last word for no reason. What do they mean by stories? We all know what they mean by characters(the action figures). So, let’s read between the lines a little here. It’s DC comics and they’re mumbling about “licensing and promoting stories”. Sounds like a comic strip or comic book for WoW is possible.
It sounds like a great idea to me. It almost makes me wonder, why haven’t they thought of this before? It would probably be a huge seller among WoW fans and could only increase the popularity to WoW. It would be cool being able to be a part of your favourite comic book.
