Mario and Sonic will hit the Wii with their new game on the 20th November (US). Play as your Mii character, or the characters from either Mario or Sonic’s worlds and try to earn the gold medal. Comepete in events including speed rally table tennis, 10,000m diving, hammer throwing and dueling. The environments include real stadiums that will be used in the 2008 Beijing Games.
There is still much unrealesed information about this game, but we do know of 3 modes so far. A single player mode, a circuit mode, and a mission mode that challenges you against a series of competitors. Personally i think this game looks great and would get boring quickly if it wasn’t for the various events and characters.

For those of you that don’t already own Civilization IV, a game that allows players to take over the world on a turn-by-turn building and attacking basis, and those of you that just must own these Collector’s Editions, Civilization: Gold Edition is coming out! So start mowing lawns or working overtime.
This version will include Civilization IV as well as the Warlords expansion pack. As well, like most collectors editions you will also get some little extras. The extras include:
- Fantasy style poster from Greg Hildebrandt, world famous artist
- As expected, a behind-the-scenes DVD with developer interviews and a behind-the-scenes look at the creation of the game as well as a history of Sid Meier’s video game history
- A tech-tree poster
- Game Manual
Finally, your release date. You’ll be seeing this on shelves July 17th. Though if it would make you feel a bit better you can pre-order a copy on Amazon.

Oh, it looks like Spiderman is releasing a game along with another one of its movies! Hopefully this one will be different from all the other Spiderman games. The 3rd movie game will be released on May 4th, 2007.
I, personally, wasn’t convinced this game will be different from the other Spiderman games when I read other previews. However, the makers of the game have not released much information about this game, but so far it looks like it will take the same structure as the others.
Like past spidey games, the popular feature of a roaming freely environment is still available in similar concept. But unlike the others, a new feature, almost all the movie cast will be vocally included in this game, which really is amazing.
As well as this game including the minor villains (such as the mysterious dragon boss) it will also include the main villains of the movie (such as Sandman, Venom and the new Green Goblin) .
As i said, not much information on this game has been released, but undoubtedly more info. Will be available as the release date grows closer.

Upon the release of the GTA trailer we somewhat expected that cloud of mystery to disappear. However upon watching the trailer only the beauty of the game was truly revealed. Oh, and a mysterious man that says, “Life is complicated, I’ve killed people, smuggled people, sold people. Perhaps here things will be different.”
However some eagle eye fans can help us speculate and attempt to answer some of the questions we might have. These fans tell us that,
- While the city appears to be like New York it is actually Liberty City from GTA III. You can find the words “Liberty City” on a tanker, ferry and LCPD likely stands for “Liberty City Police Department”
- The game is based in at least the year 2000. The cars seem to give that away as you can see what looks like a BMW and some nice sports cars
- GTA IV uses the amazing RAGE engine. Rockstar told Gamespot, “We can confirm that all footage in the trailer was captured directly from 720p gameplay running real time in our Rage engine on a next-gen gaming console.” Awesome, it looks really good.
- An ad in the trailer states, “Visit Vice City- $300″. Will we be able to visit Vice City? Or is this just a little tease? Will it still look the same?
- Everything seems to have improved physics as we might expect. You can even spot a driver fixing his rear view mirror. Little tiny details
- Is this Russian guy a main character? Our best friend? Or our enemy?
If you have any other little speculations that you can spot from the trailer or any other reputable source, please share! Rockstar says that the game should be shipped on October 19 for both Xbox 360 and PS3. Woohoo!

Today, March 27th, Warner Bros. confirmed that long rumored “Lego Batman”. The adventure will of course, be about our favorite caped crusader and his sidekick Robin, in a mission to protect Gotham city.
Given the level of hilarity and addictiveness of Lego Star wars, we can expect awesome co-op battles with Batman and Robin! The game has no release date yet, but is expected for PC and all major platforms sometime in 2008. Enjoy the awesome screenshot above.

Ah, I thought it was coming this month? Guess not. Well it’s coming in April, the full Opera Browser for Wii!
It has been revealed at a Nintendo Press Release of what the full version of the Internet Channel will have:
* improved zooming and scrolling
* an improved zoomed font
* shortened startup times
* quicker access to “favorites
* an ability to hide the toolbar
* buttons that will instantly type common preset letters, such as “www or “.com
Remember, if you’ve had the Opera Browser Trial (arrived in December) then the full version download is free, and the full version will be free even if you don’t have the trial version. If you do not get the Opera Channel (Trial or Complete Version) before the end of June, it’ll cost you 500 Wii Points.

See that picture? Don’t stare at it too long or else you’ll get tired of it too quickly. Pretty cool looking huh?
So why must you not get tired of this picture too quickly? Bungie reports that we’ll be seeing it more often. They explain it best,
“Soon you will start to see this popping up all over the place. We’ve seen comps of this plastered on bus stops, billboards, and even the sides of skyscrapers. We hope you like it because you’ll be seeing a fair amount of it in the weeks ahead.
Eventually we’ll graduate to phase two which will feature new imagery that’s in development right now – and it’s shaping up to be really sweet … A lot of it is going to follow this in tone and style, but I can tell you that these images ratchet up the excitement and atmosphere with each successive poster.”
Hmm, I suspect that a couple of these posters will be stolen from bus stops as a collectible. However may I warn you, don’t try to steal these from a moving bus.
Not to mention the other bit of information that you have probably overlooked. Look back at the poster. Down a little…in the center. Yeah, that, Fall 2007. There’s a sight hint at a release date for you, if you didn’t already know.
Welcome To…
Today, I will be giving you a preview of God of War II.

March 13th, the release date, is an important date! All fans of God of War are eagerly waiting for it. Cory Barlog, the game director, has released that the game is completely finished! Now we wait. I will keep you updated if anything changes.

I don’t normally write about PS2 games, in fact I don’t even have one anymore. So, why am I writing about this game coming out on a console I don’t have? Well,the first Arena Football game by EA Sports came out last year and I thought was awesome, and this one looks to be even better. It features teams from the AFL and AF2 (The Arena Football minor league). One of the new things is a mode that has you create a player and follow his career starting out in the AF2 and try to get him to the AFL and win an Arena Bowl.
Overall, this looks like one hell of a game and just may be enough to make me want to get another PS2.Â
